I stayed up for the night feeds (as usual) but got to go to sleep after Brian got up at about 6am or so. He got the girls up around 8 and they insisted on coming into bed with me instead of going to the kitchen to eat breakfast. All I could hear was "mama! mama! mama!" Its the sweetest sound, I tell ya!
When I decided to get up, Brian cooked me a yummy breakfast. I think it was bacon and eggs, but honestly, I can't even remember. My brain is so sleep deprived these days that a lot of things get forgotten.
It was an absolutely beautiful day and we were invited to a BBQ so we decided to go. We got all of the kids ready and got there around 4pm. It honestly took the two of us longer to get the kids ready than it generally takes me by myself to get them all ready. Not sure why...
We got to the BBQ and there were kids for the girls' to play with and hands to hold the babies. Not that I didn't want to hold my little guys, but it was nice to have a break.
The girls played with balls, ate TONS of watermelon (and fed it to each other) and ran around at the BBQ. It was such a nice day that we spent the whole time outside.
When we got home, it was time to put all of the kids in bed. Everyone fell asleep on the 15 minute car ride home and were asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow.
Mother's day used to be a hard day for me before I had kids... now its a very special one! I am so proud to be my kids' mom!!!
